What Happens When I Did Yoga For A Month?


Sarah To YogaHelpedMe.com: I used to work long hours at the office. I would eat poorly and not sleep enough on busy days, then go home exhausted and fall asleep in front of my TV set while eating dinner or browsing Facebook–a vicious cycle that left me feeling like crap every day. After reading about how much better people feel after starting some type of exercise routine, I decided to give it a try with this one-month challenge: Do 30 minutes of yoga everyday for four weeks straight without missing any sessions! The first week was easy since we had just started into February’s winter lull but things got more difficult as March rolled around so be careful what season you choose if this is your goal! Every morning before work, I would wake up and do Yoga for 30 minutes. I tried to make sure that my routine changed everyday so it wouldn’t get too boring and also because the body adapts quickly to what you’re doing repetitively–so change things up a little to keep the body guessing! Yoga helped me find my balance in life. It gave me more energy, and I slept better too. Yoga was also a great way for me to focus on my mental health. Yoga helped me stay calm and happy during the day which in turn made it easier for me to interact with others in positive ways–so I started giving back more by volunteering, helping neighbors, etc.–it’s amazing how just 30 minutes of Yoga can change your life!
